Spector is a British band based out of London. The band is made up of lead vocalist Frederick Macpherson, Jed Cullen on guitar, drummer Nicolas Py  and Danny Blandy on keyboards

Now and Forever is Spector’s first studio album in six years, and longly awaited by their loyal fanbase. It’s also the first on the band’s own label, Moth Noise. Potentially the best name ever for a record label!

The album begins with a minute-long instrumental “When Saturday Comes” that builds anticipation for the first single “Catch You On The Way Back In.” The song serves uptempo guitar riffs, hard drum kicks and an angelic chorus (everything you could ask for!). In general, the album does a great job of striking a balance between indie bravado tunes, and softer melodies with songs like “Norwegian Air”.

My favorite song on the album is “Bad Summer”, with its emotionally charged, retrospective lyrics that takes the listener on a journey through an ill-fated love.

Biggest takeaway here – this album was made for long car rides. The time when I find myself being nostalgic and introspective.

Past Albums to Check Out:

If you are new to the band and want to know other albums to check out, then I recommend their first album Enjoy It While It Lasts.
